Description

The Isla is a table lamp with a white ceramic gourd-shaped base, a pink fabric tapered drum shade and aged brass metalwork at the neck and base. The lamp takes a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind the pink shade, which diffuses the light and casts a warm, softened glow across surfaces and walls.

Designed for bedside tables, occasional tables in living rooms and console tables in hallways or bedrooms, the Isla pairs ambient accent lighting with a colour pop that works in both neutral and warm-toned interiors. The 360mm shade diameter suits tables 600-900mm wide, and the 640mm total height positions the bulb at a comfortable level for reading or ambient light next to seating. The ceramic base provides stability without needing to be weighted.

The white ceramic has a smooth gloss finish that reflects ambient light and contrasts with the matte-textured pink fabric shade. The aged brass collar at the neck and the brass base plate add a metallic accent that bridges the white and pink tones. The gourd profile of the ceramic base is hand-formed, so minor variations in curvature between individual pieces are normal.

The lamp takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for bedside or accent lighting.

Is the pink shade removable for cleaning?

Yes. The fabric shade lifts off the brass fitting and can be cleaned with a lint roller or soft brush. Avoid liquid cleaners on the fabric — spot cleaning with a barely-damp cloth is acceptable for stubborn marks, but do not soak.

What surface does the ceramic base suit?

The ceramic base has a smooth gloss finish and sits on a brass base plate. It suits most polished, painted or varnished surfaces. On very delicate finishes, placing a felt pad under the brass base prevents marking.

Can the lamp be used with a dimmer?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. LED bulbs marked as 'dimmable' work with most modern dimmers. Non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail to dim. The lamp itself has no built-in dimmer.
