Description

The Ios is a 1m linear pendant carrying six adjustable GU10 spotlights on a white metal bar, designed by Spanish manufacturer Mantra. Each spotlight sits in a dome-shaped housing that pivots 330° on its mount, allowing the light to be directed across a dining table, kitchen island or workspace without moving the fitting itself.

Designed for installation above long horizontal surfaces where directed task light is needed, the Ios works over dining tables 1.8-2.4m long, kitchen islands of similar length, and office desks requiring multi-point illumination. The 1000mm bar suspends on two cables with an adjustable drop from 150mm minimum to 1110mm maximum, giving flexibility to suit ceiling heights between 2.4-3m. Each GU10 socket accepts LED or halogen bulbs up to the manufacturer's rating (sold separately), allowing control over light temperature and brightness.

The matt white finish on the bar and spotlight housings provides a neutral backdrop that sits comfortably in white or light-toned interiors without creating visual weight. The curved dome profile of each spotlight housing matches the profile of the ceiling cup, giving the fitting a considered geometric consistency. At 2.16kg the fitting is light enough for standard ceiling fixings but substantial enough to remain stable when spotlights are adjusted. The non-dimmable circuitry means bulb choice determines light output, pairing with 4-6W LED GU10s at 3000K gives warm task light, while 5000K options provide cooler task illumination.

The Ios takes six GU10 bulbs (sold separately). Most users pair this with LED GU10s between 4-6W. Choose warm white (2700-3000K) for dining areas or cool white (4000-5000K) for task lighting over work surfaces.

Can the spotlights be angled independently?

Yes. Each of the six spotlight heads pivots 330° on its mount, allowing them to be directed at different angles across the surface below or angled upward for wash lighting on walls or ceilings.

Is the Ios dimmable?

No. The fitting is non-dimmable. Light output is controlled by the wattage and type of GU10 bulb you install. Using lower-wattage LED bulbs (4W instead of 6W) reduces overall brightness.

What table length does it suit?

The 1000mm bar length pairs well with dining tables or kitchen islands between 1.8-2.4m long. For longer surfaces, consider spacing two Ios fittings in sequence or choosing a longer linear light from the same range.
