Description

The Infinity is a 430mm semi-flush ceiling light built around two continuous loops of illuminated acrylic, supported by a chrome-plated metal frame and canopy. The integrated 30W LED strips inside the acrylic loops produce 2500 lumens of warm 3000K light, creating the appearance of a flowing ribbon suspended 140mm below the ceiling. The chrome frame sits flush against the ceiling while the loops hang beneath it, giving the fitting a semi-flush profile that works in rooms with standard 2.4m ceiling heights.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and bedrooms where ambient ceiling lighting needs to provide both function and decorative presence, the Infinity pairs general room illumination with sculptural form. The dimmable LED allows the light level to be adjusted from full brightness for daytime use down to lower levels for evening ambience, using a compatible mains dimmer switch fitted at the wall. The acrylic diffuses the LED strips evenly across the loop surfaces, eliminating visible hot spots and producing soft, indirect light that reduces glare on screens and reflective surfaces.

The chrome finish on the support frame and ceiling plate reflects surrounding light and adds visual contrast against the frosted white acrylic. Each loop measures approximately 215mm in diameter and the interlocking configuration creates a continuous flowing line when viewed from below. The 3.17kg weight requires secure fixing to a joist or suitable ceiling support — the fitting is not suitable for fixing to plasterboard alone without adequate reinforcement.

Yes. The integrated LED is dimmable when paired with a compatible mains dimmer switch at the wall. Not all dimmer switches work with LED fittings — check that your dimmer is rated for LED loads before installation, or contact us for dimmer recommendations.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 140mm drop from ceiling to the bottom edge of the loops works in rooms with standard 2.4m or higher ceilings. The semi-flush design keeps the fitting closer to the ceiling than a full pendant, making it suitable for lower ceilings where a hanging pendant would feel too low.

How is it installed?

The fitting weighs 3.17kg and must be fixed securely to a ceiling joist or to a suitable support structure behind plasterboard. It connects to standard UK mains wiring via a terminal block inside the canopy. Professional installation is recommended.

Can the acrylic loops be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off the mains power and allow the fitting to cool. Wipe the acrylic gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the loops and do not use spray cleaners or polishes that may cloud the acrylic or damage the chrome frame.
