Description

The Indonesia is a 630mm ceiling fan light combining a handwoven rattan shade with four retractable fan blades and an integrated 105W tuneable white LED. The blades extend automatically when the fan activates and retract flush into the fixture when switched off, preserving the sculptural rattan profile when cooling is not needed. The LED sits within a central acrylic diffuser behind the rattan and delivers 4200 lumens at colour temperatures adjustable between 2700K warm white and 5000K daylight white via the included remote control.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and conservatories with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Indonesia pairs ambient ceiling lighting with variable-speed airflow operated from a single fixture. The silent DC motor runs at six speeds, with the remote controlling fan speed, light brightness and colour temperature independently. The 200mm overall height from ceiling to base suits most standard ceiling heights without intrusive drop, and the 630mm diameter covers approximately 12-15m² floor area for effective air circulation.

The rattan shade is handwoven from natural plant fibre, giving each fitting slight variations in tone and weave density. The beige-brown finish softens contemporary and coastal interiors, diffusing LED light through the weave to cast layered shadow patterns on the ceiling when lit. The retractable blade mechanism conceals the fan components within the rattan drum when not in use, allowing the Indonesia to function as a static pendant light in cooler months. How do the retractable blades work?

The four blades extend outward from the centre when the fan is switched on and retract flush into the rattan housing when the fan is switched off. This allows the fixture to present as a static pendant light when cooling is not needed, preserving the rattan shade's sculptural appearance.

Can the light and fan be operated independently?

Yes. The included remote control operates the fan speed (six settings), light brightness and colour temperature independently. You can run the light without the fan, the fan without the light, or both together in any combination.

What ceiling height is required?

The Indonesia has a 200mm drop from ceiling to base, so it suits ceiling heights of 2.4m or above to maintain comfortable headroom. For lower ceilings, check that the combined ceiling height minus 200mm leaves at least 2.1m clearance beneath the fitting.

Is the rattan shade consistent between units?

No. The rattan is handwoven from natural plant fibre, so tone, weave density and colour variation differ between individual pieces. This is characteristic of natural materials and is not a defect.
