Description

The Indie is a 900mm rectangular chandelier built around a mocha-finished metal lattice frame with faceted crystals suspended within a Moroccan-inspired geometric pattern. Six E14 bulb fittings sit inside the frame, casting light through the crystal elements to produce a textured glow across kitchen islands, dining tables and rectangular rooms. The drop adjusts between 520mm and 1520mm on chain chandelier, allowing installation over island worktops at 700-900mm or dining tables at similar heights depending on ceiling height.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Indie pairs task and decorative function across a linear span. The 900mm width suits islands between 1.8-2.4m long, positioned centrally over the worktop or table to balance light distribution. The lattice framework uses a Moroccan quatrefoil motif repeated along the length, with the mocha finish providing a warm metallic tone that sits between bronze and aged brass. Teak-tinted accents on the corner brackets add tonal depth without introducing a second finish colour.

Each crystal element is faceted to catch and refract light from the six E14 bulbs, so the appearance changes with bulb choice: warm-white filament bulbs emphasise the mocha metalwork, while cooler LEDs bring out the crystal clarity. The fixture is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer, allowing the light level to be adjusted from bright task lighting during food preparation to softer ambient light for dining. At 9.1kg, the Indie requires secure ceiling fixing to a joist or reinforced ceiling rose rated for the weight.

The Indie takes six E14 small Edison screw bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with 6-8W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K-3000K for kitchen island or dining table use.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself supports dimming but requires dimmable bulbs to function correctly on a dimmer circuit.

What island or table length does it suit?

The 900mm width works best over kitchen islands or dining tables between 1.8-2.4m long. For longer islands, consider positioning two Indie fittings in sequence or choosing a wider fixture.

How is the drop adjusted during installation?

The chain chandelier allows the drop to be shortened between the minimum 520mm and maximum 1520mm by removing chain links during installation. The cable runs inside the chain and canopy. For dining tables, a drop of 700-800mm above the surface is typical; for kitchen islands, 750-900mm depending on ceiling height and user preference.
