Description

This mini wooden mantel plaque sets a row of little line-drawn houses across a white face, with the words 'if only YOU lived CLOSER' written on the largest house at the centre. Six houses sit side by side, from a narrow cottage and one with a climbing plant by the door to a scalloped gable and a tall slim house at the end, all drawn in a soft grey line with small hearts floating above the rooftops. The words mix a loose script for 'if only' and 'lived' with neat capitals for 'YOU' and 'CLOSER', so the message reads warmly at a glance. It is a small piece, 15cm wide, 5.5cm high and 2cm deep, finished in white round its edges too.

Being a mantel plaque, it stands upright on its own flat base, so it needs no hook or nail: set it on a mantelpiece, a windowsill, a bookshelf or a bedside table.
