Ice 2 Light Wall Light - Polished Chrome

The Ice is a 2-light wall light built around a curved polished chrome arm that sweeps up from a circular chrome backplate, splitting into two angled branches that each hold a frosted-clear glass cube shade. Each cube shade uses layered glass with a frosted inner section and clear outer facets that catch and refract light when the G9 bulbs inside are on or off.

Designed for hallways, living room feature walls and bedroom accent lighting, the Ice provides ambient light with a decorative presence. The 150mm projection from the wall gives the fitting enough visual depth to read as sculptural without encroaching into circulation space in typical 2.4m-wide hallways or bedroom walkways. The chrome arms and glass cubes pair comfortably with modern and transitional interiors, particularly where other chrome or polished metal finishes are present in door furniture, radiators or mirrors.

The glass shades measure approximately 70mm cubed and sit at different heights on the curved arms, creating an asymmetric visual rhythm when viewed from the side. The frosted inner layer of each cube diffuses the light from the G9 bulb, preventing direct glare when the fitting is mounted at typical eye-level positions (1.5-1.8m above floor level). The clear outer facets of the glass produce small prism effects where the light passes through the edges.

What bulbs does the Ice take?

The fitting takes two G9 capsule bulbs with a maximum combined load of 66W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with G9 LED bulbs at 3-5W each and 2700K-3000K for warm ambient light.

Is the Ice dimmable?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 bulbs. The wall light itself does not restrict dimming, but you must use bulbs marked as dimmable and pair them with a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit.

What height should it be mounted at?

For hallway or bedroom use, the fitting is typically mounted with the centre backplate at 1.5-1.8m above floor level. This positions the glass shades at or slightly above average eye-level, providing ambient light without direct glare.

Can the chrome be cleaned without damaging the finish?

Yes. Wipe the polished chrome arms with a soft dry microfibre cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. For stubborn marks, use a barely-damp cloth with distilled water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, polishes or sprays that can scratch or dull the chrome plating.
