Description

The Ice is a single-light wall fitting with two polished chrome curved arms flowing from a circular chrome backplate, supporting a layered frosted-clear glass cube shade at the centre. The shade is formed from alternating layers of frosted and clear glass pressed into a geometric cube shape, which diffuses light from the G9 bulb while creating visual depth through the layered glass structure.

Designed for hallways and bedroom reading positions where a compact wall light is needed, the Ice projects 180mm from the wall and stands 180mm high with a 100mm width. The curved arms create a flowing sculptural shape that softens the geometric glass cube. The polished chrome finish reflects ambient light and pairs with contemporary bathroom fittings, modern bedroom furniture, and minimalist hallway decor.

The fitting takes a single G9 bulb up to 33W (sold separately) and is dimmable when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and compatible dimmer switch. The layered glass construction means each cube shade refracts light differently depending on the angle of view, with frosted sections providing soft diffusion and clear sections allowing brighter light through. The 0.62kg weight makes the fitting suitable for plasterboard walls with standard cavity fixings.

What bulb does the Ice take?

The Ice uses a single G9 capsule bulb up to 33W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose a warm-white LED G9 between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient hallway or bedroom lighting.

Is this suitable for bathroom use?

The fitting has no IP rating, so it should only be installed in bathroom zones where no IP protection is required (typically Zone 3, at least 600mm from a bath or shower). Always confirm bathroom zone regulations with a qualified electrician before installation.

Can the light be dimmed?

Yes, when paired with a dimmable G9 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch. The fitting itself is dimmable-ready, but requires both a dimmable bulb and a dimmer switch rated for the bulb type (LED dimmers for LED bulbs).

How is the glass shade cleaned?

Switch off the power at the mains and allow the bulb to cool. Wipe the layered glass cube with a soft, barely-damp microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking the glass or using chemical cleaners, which can leave streaks on the frosted sections.
