Our Hudson Bay is a modern rug, hand tufted from 100% wool, with a quiet geometric design in cream and light beige. Overlapping semicircles, arcs and half moons run across the rug in tone on tone shades, so the pattern reads as gentle texture rather than bold contrast. The shapes are picked out in the pile itself, with fine lines tracing each curve, which gives a pale palette plenty of interest as the light moves across it.

This is a rug for the living room, where its pale colouring sits easily with light wood floors and neutral schemes. We sell it in two rectangular sizes. The 120 by 170cm rug fits a smaller sitting room or the space in front of an armchair, while the 150 by 230cm rug is large enough to sit under the front of a sofa and a coffee table, pulling a seating area together.
