Description

The Hollis is a 5 light semi-flush ceiling fitting from Hinkley, spanning 813mm across a branched heritage brass frame with five opal etched glass globes. Each globe is held in place by a brass band that wraps the equator of the sphere, leaving the upper and lower hemispheres open to show the opal glass. The five E14 sockets sit inside the globes, which diffuse the light in all directions.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.7m where a full pendant would hang too low, the Hollis semi-flush projects 305mm from the ceiling, making it suitable for kitchens, dining rooms, hallways and bedrooms. The IP44 rating allows installation in bathroom zones 2 and 3, where the fitting sits at least 600mm from a shower head or bath edge. The branched frame spreads the five light sources across a wide diameter, providing even ambient coverage across a 12-15m² room.

The heritage brass finish sits between polished brass and antique brass, with a warm satin tone that shows minimal tarnish over time. The opal etched glass hides the bulb filament or LED element from direct view, preventing glare when the fitting is installed in a low-ceiling space where the globes sit close to eye level. The combined weight of the brass frame and five glass globes requires a ceiling mounting rated for at least 3kg.
