Description

The Hollis is a single-light wall fitting built around a spherical opal glass globe held in a heritage brass cradle. The brass frame wraps around the equator of the globe in a curved arc, secured by two decorative collar fittings at the stem, with a circular backplate mounting directly to the wall. The fitting takes one E14 bulb up to 40W (sold separately), with light diffused through the opal glass to cast a soft ambient glow.

Rated IP44, the Hollis is suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, making it appropriate for positions above washbasins, beside mirrors and in shower-adjacent areas where occasional water splashes may occur. The 403mm height and 190mm projection work well flanking bathroom mirrors in pairs, or as corridor and hallway lighting where wall-mounted fittings are preferred over ceiling pendants. The brass tone provides warmth in bathrooms with cream, white or soft grey tiling.

The heritage brass finish is a mid-tone warm brass with a subtle aged patina, sitting between polished brass and antique brass in terms of reflectivity. The opal glass globe is fully opaque white, preventing glare from the bulb while still transmitting enough light to serve as functional task lighting when positioned 1500-1800mm above floor level. The decorative collar fittings at the stem and the circular arc around the globe reference Art Deco and mid-century lighting design without direct reproduction.
