Holland 4 Light Linear Pendant - Brown & Black Oxide

The Holland is a 540mm linear pendant with four amber glass tulip-shaped shades mounted on curved metal arms that branch from a central brown and black oxide frame. Each arm curves upward to hold a single shade, with subtle leaf-like detailing at the joins giving the fitting an organic silhouette. The four G9 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the amber glass, which diffuses the light and adds a warm tonal cast to whatever room the fitting occupies.

Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living spaces where linear rather than radial light distribution is needed, the Holland spans 540mm end-to-end and sits parallel to the surface below. The telescopic drop adjusts between 500mm and 840mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be positioned 600-700mm above a worktop or 700-800mm above a dining table depending on ceiling height. The square canopy at the top conceals the cable and ceiling rose.

The brown and black oxide finish gives the metalwork a layered, aged appearance with tonal variation across the surface rather than a uniform colour. The amber glass shades soften the light output and pair the warm metal tones with a complementary warm glow when lit. The combined metal frame and glass give the fitting a 2.6kg weight, substantial enough to feel solid without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement in most installations. The four-arm symmetry keeps the visual weight balanced along the linear axis.

What bulbs does it take?

The Holland takes four G9 capsule bulbs, sold separately. The fitting supports up to 160W total load (40W per bulb), but most users pair it with LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W each for energy efficiency. Dimmable G9 LEDs are needed if you want to control brightness.

Is the drop adjustable?

Yes. The telescopic rod adjusts between 500mm and 840mm during installation, allowing the fitting to be set at the right height above a kitchen island or dining table. Once installed, the drop is fixed at the chosen length.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a kitchen island the fitting typically hangs 600-700mm above the worktop, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above when set to the minimum 500mm drop. Dining table installations usually sit 700-800mm above the table surface and benefit from ceiling heights of 2.5m or more.

Does the amber glass affect light colour?

Yes. The amber glass adds a warm tonal cast to whatever bulb you install, shifting the light output towards warmer yellows and golds. If you install a cool white LED, the glass will warm the output; if you install a warm white LED, the effect is amplified.
