The Himalaya Mini is a 530mm ceiling fan light combining retractable blades, integrated 70W LED lighting and a DC motor in a matt white housing. The four blades retract flush into the housing when the fan is switched off, leaving a smooth circular profile 530mm in diameter and 177mm in height. When activated via the remote control, the blades extend automatically and the DC motor spins them with minimal noise while drawing less current than an AC equivalent.

Designed for bedrooms, small living rooms, home offices and low-ceiling spaces between 2.4-3m in height, the Himalaya Mini provides both directional airflow and ambient lighting without the visual bulk of a traditional ceiling fan. The integrated LED delivers 4900lm across a 120° beam angle, with colour temperature adjustable between warm white (2700K) and cool daylight (5000K) using the remote. Dimming is stepless via the same remote, allowing light levels to be set from a soft nightlight to full brightness depending on the time of day or task at hand.

The matt white finish on the metal housing pairs comfortably with modern and minimalist interiors, particularly where white ceilings, neutral walls and light timber floors are already in the palette. The retractable blade mechanism keeps the fitting discreet when the fan function is not needed, so the Himalaya Mini reads as a flush ceiling light rather than a fan during winter months or cooler evenings. Installation requires a ceiling plate capable of supporting 2.7kg and standard 230V mains wiring. No additional wiring for separate fan and light circuits is needed as both functions run through a single connection controlled remotely.

The four fan blades retract flush into the circular housing when the fan is switched off via the remote control. When the fan is activated, the blades extend automatically and begin rotating. This allows the fitting to function as a low-profile ceiling light when airflow is not needed.

What ceiling height does it suit?

The 177mm height makes the Himalaya Mini suitable for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. Rooms with ceilings below 2.4m may find the fitting intrusive, while very high ceilings above 3.5m reduce airflow effectiveness at floor level.

Can the colour temperature and brightness be adjusted independently?

Yes. The remote control allows independent adjustment of colour temperature (2700K warm white through to 5000K cool daylight) and brightness (stepless dimming from low to full 4900lm output). Fan speed is also controlled separately via the remote.

Is the DC motor quieter than a standard AC ceiling fan motor?

Yes. DC motors operate with lower vibration and noise compared to traditional AC motors, making the Himalaya Mini suitable for bedrooms and study spaces where ambient noise needs to be minimised. The motor also draws less current, improving energy efficiency.
