The Himalaya is a 630mm ceiling fan light with retractable blades concealed inside a matte black open-grid steel frame. An integrated 4900lm LED provides tuneable white light across 2700-5000K, while a silent DC motor drives airflow without the visual clutter of fixed blade arms. When the fan is off, the blades retract inside the frame, leaving only the sculptural steel cage visible.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Himalaya combines ambient lighting and climate control in one fitting. The LED colour temperature adjusts from warm white (2700K) for evening relaxation to cooler daylight tones (5000K) for daytime tasks, controlled via the included remote, the Mantra mobile app, or voice commands through Alexa and Google Assistant. The 120° beam angle distributes light evenly across a 4-5m room without hotspots.

The matte black steel frame consists of concentric horizontal rings joined by vertical struts, creating a geometric pattern that casts subtle shadow detail onto the ceiling when the fan is running. The retractable blade mechanism sits flush inside the frame when stationary, so the fitting reads as a decorative ceiling light rather than a traditional fan. At 4.53kg the unit requires secure fixing to a joist or ceiling plate, with the 192mm drop suiting rooms where pendant lights would hang too low. The DC motor runs quieter than AC equivalents and draws 105W combined for light and fan at full output.

How do the retractable blades work?

When the fan is switched off, the blades fold back inside the steel frame, concealed from view. When the fan is activated via the remote, app or voice command, the blades extend outwards through the gaps in the grid to generate airflow. This allows the fitting to function as a decorative ceiling light when cooling is not needed.

Can the light colour and brightness be adjusted independently of the fan?

Yes. The LED colour temperature (2700K warm white to 5000K cool white) and brightness are controlled separately from the fan speed. You can run the light without the fan, the fan without the light, or both together, all via the remote, app or voice control.

What ceiling height is required?

The 192mm drop from ceiling to the base of the frame suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower rooms the fitting may feel visually heavy, though it will still function safely if securely mounted.

Is the DC motor quieter than a standard fan motor?

Yes. DC motors run more quietly than AC equivalents and use less energy for the same airflow. The Himalaya's motor is designed to operate without audible hum at low and medium speeds, with only slight mechanical noise at full speed.
