The Helix is a 1.85m LED floor lamp built around a continuous spiral ribbon of polished chrome and white-painted metal that coils from a circular 380mm base to the top of the fitting. A single integrated 42W LED strip runs the length of the spiral, emitting 3360lm of 4000K cool white light across a 120° beam angle.

Designed for living rooms, home offices and studios where high output is needed without ceiling fittings, the Helix provides task and ambient light in one column. The inline foot dimmer allows brightness adjustment from full output down to a low background glow, making the lamp suitable for work sessions requiring crisp light and evenings when softer light is preferred. The 380mm circular footprint fits against walls or in corners without needing additional floor space.

The spiral design distributes light along the full height of the fitting rather than concentrating it at a single bulb point, reducing hard shadows and giving more even illumination across a room. The combination of polished chrome and white alternates as the ribbon twists, creating visual interest when viewed from different angles. The 42W LED is integrated into the spiral frame and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of use, which equates to around 15-20 years at 4 hours per day. The 3-year warranty covers the LED module.

What is 4000K cool white best suited for?

4000K sits between warm white and daylight, providing clear, neutral light that suits task work, reading, home offices and studios. It is cooler than typical living room lighting (2700K-3000K) but less clinical than daylight-rated LEDs (5000K+), making it a middle ground for mixed-use spaces.

How is the dimmer operated?

The Helix includes an inline foot dimmer on the power cable. Step on the dimmer switch to adjust brightness from full output (3360lm) down to a low glow. The dimmer does not require installation or additional wiring.

Can the spiral be disassembled for transport?

The spiral frame ships in sections that slot together during assembly. Once assembled the frame is rigid and should not be repeatedly disassembled, but it can be taken apart for moving house or storage if needed.
