Description
The Heirloom is a vintage style rug in our Rust / Teal colourway, built around a large central medallion framed by layered borders. Warm rust and cream lead the design, with soft grey and blue-grey detail through the medallion and outer border, and the whole pattern has a gently faded, worn-in look, like a well loved traditional rug. It is made entirely from polyester, digitally printed and machine woven, so the fine detail comes through clearly. As a flat weave it has no raised pile, so it feels smooth and even underfoot.
This is a rug made for the living room, where its traditional design sits comfortably on a wooden floor and works with classic and modern furniture alike. It comes in two sizes. The 120 by 170cm rug suits a smaller living room, a reading corner or the floor in front of an armchair, while the 160 by 230cm rug is large enough to lay in front of a sofa and pull a seating area together around a coffee table.
This is a washable rug, so a spilt drink or a dropped plate of food in the living room is far less of a worry. The digital printing carries the colour right across the design, and the flat weave gives a smooth surface with no deep pile for crumbs to settle into. Before you choose a size, we suggest measuring your floor and leaving a strip of bare floor showing around the edges for the neatest finish.
