It is a rectangular oak desk that keeps its footprint tidy at 120cm wide and 80cm deep, so it slots neatly against a wall or floats out into a spare bedroom. Standing 75cm high, it sits at a comfortable working height, and the warm tone of the oak brings a bit of natural character to a space that too often ends up feeling flat and functional.

Two shallow drawers run under the front edge, giving us somewhere sensible to tuck away notebooks, cables, pens and the odd bit of clutter that always seems to gather on a desktop.
