Solid oak, MDF and steel come together in our Heart'n'Soul Console Table, a slim piece finished in Cloud Grey with a FENIX® nanolaminate surface that keeps the top smooth and matt to the touch. We chose FENIX® for its resistance to fingerprints and light everyday marks, and the soft grey colour holds its own without shouting for attention. At 82cm tall with a top measuring 30 by 110cm, this console gives you a clear working surface while its four tapered legs keep the whole thing looking light on its feet.

A single pull-out drawer sits below the top, lined in felt so that keys, small notebooks and other odds and ends stay put and stay quiet as you open and close it. We like this drawer for the way it tidies the surface above, leaving room on top for a table lamp base, a bowl or a stack of books. The top carries a maximum load of 100kg when the weight is spread evenly across the surface, so you can rest a heavier lamp or a framed picture on it without concern. The console does not extend, and its shape stays fixed, which we find keeps things simple in day to day use.

Built to the EN 15372-L2 furniture standard, this console weighs 15kg and takes us around 30 minutes to assemble from the box, with the legs and drawer runner making up the bulk of that work. We supply the fixings you need, and the steps are straightforward enough that one person can manage them.
