Description

Our Heart'n'Soul 200 Dining Table is made from solid oak, MDF and steel, finished with a hard-wearing FENIX® nanolaminate surface, bringing together honest materials and a clean, considered build. We chose this Black Oak finish for its deep, grounded colour, one that settles easily into a room without demanding all the attention. The large rectangular top sits on four tapered legs, giving the table a steady, unfussy stance that works just as well for everyday meals as it does for a long lunch with friends. At 200cm wide and 90cm deep, there is generous room to spread out plates, serving dishes and the odd elbow.

What we like most is the pull-out drawer, lined in soft black felt, which slides neatly from the end of the table. It gives you a tidy home for placemats, napkins or cutlery, keeping the surface clear and the clutter out of sight. Extension plates are included, so you have a little flexibility when the guest list grows. We have kept the specification simple. Standing 75.5cm high and weighing 75kg, it feels reassuringly solid underfoot, and it has been tested to EN 15372 (Level 2) and ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 for tables.

The FENIX® nanolaminate is a genuinely practical choice for a dining table, with a smooth matt surface that resists fingerprints and everyday marks, so we would suggest a simple wipe with a damp cloth to keep it looking its best. Avoid harsh abrasives and mop up spills promptly. For styling, we think the Black Oak sits beautifully against pale walls and a soft rug, with a run of ceramic tableware and a low centrepiece to let the wood do the talking.
