Description

The HDview HC832R32TB is a 32-channel network video recorder supporting up to 8MP (4K) resolution IP cameras, with 16 built-in Power-over-Ethernet ports and 32TB of pre-installed surveillance-grade hard drive storage. H.265 video compression reduces file sizes by up to 50% compared to H.264 while maintaining the same image quality, extending the storage capacity to hold longer retention periods before overwriting older footage.

Designed for commercial and residential CCTV installations requiring multiple camera coverage across large sites, warehouses, retail premises or multi-storey properties, the NVR handles simultaneous recording, playback and remote viewing without performance drops. The 16 PoE ports deliver both data and power to compatible IP cameras over a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable per camera, eliminating the need for separate power supplies at each camera location. The remaining 16 channels can be used with non-PoE IP cameras connected via the network switch.

Intelligent detection features include line cross detection (triggers recording when a subject crosses a defined boundary line) and perimeter intrusion detection (triggers when a subject enters a defined zone), reducing the need to review hours of motion-free footage. The HDMI output supports up to 4K resolution for live monitoring on a connected display, and the USB port allows footage to be exported to external drives for evidence transfer or backup. Remote monitoring is available via the HDview mobile app on iOS and Android, giving live view and playback access from anywhere with an internet connection.

The unit measures 487mm wide, fitting a standard 19-inch rack mount with adapters (not included), and the metal chassis provides passive cooling via ventilation slots on the top and sides. Recording modes include continuous 24/7, scheduled (user-defined time windows), motion-triggered, and intelligent event-triggered options, configurable per channel. Cable runs of up to 250m per camera are supported when using Cat6 cabling, allowing cameras to be positioned across larger properties without requiring network repeaters.

Frequently Asked

How many cameras can be powered via PoE?

The NVR has 16 built-in PoE ports, each capable of powering a standard IP camera over the same Cat5e or Cat6 cable that carries the video signal. The remaining 16 channels support non-PoE IP cameras connected via a network switch, but those cameras require separate power supplies at their installation points.

What resolution does the NVR support?

The system supports IP cameras up to 8MP (3840 x 2160 pixels, also known as 4K). Lower resolution cameras (5MP, 4MP, 2MP, 1080p) are also compatible and can be mixed across channels depending on coverage requirements.

How long does 32TB of storage last?

Retention time depends on the number of cameras, their resolution, frame rate, and whether motion-triggered or continuous recording is used. As a rough guide, 32TB can store approximately 30-45 days of continuous 4MP footage from 32 cameras at 15fps with H.265 compression, or 60-90 days if using motion-triggered recording with moderate activity levels.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The HDview mobile app (iOS and Android) provides remote access to live viewing and recorded playback when the NVR is connected to a router with internet access. Remote viewing requires port forwarding or P2P cloud connection to be configured during installation.
