How many cameras can be powered via PoE?

The NVR has 16 built-in PoE ports, each capable of powering a standard IP camera over the same Cat5e or Cat6 cable that carries the video signal. The remaining 16 channels support non-PoE IP cameras connected via a network switch, but those cameras require separate power supplies at their installation points.

What resolution does the NVR support?

The system supports IP cameras up to 8MP (3840 x 2160 pixels, also known as 4K). Lower resolution cameras (5MP, 4MP, 2MP, 1080p) are also compatible and can be mixed across channels depending on coverage requirements.

How long does 32TB of storage last?

Retention time depends on the number of cameras, their resolution, frame rate, and whether motion-triggered or continuous recording is used. As a rough guide, 32TB can store approximately 30-45 days of continuous 4MP footage from 32 cameras at 15fps with H.265 compression, or 60-90 days if using motion-triggered recording with moderate activity levels.

Can I view footage remotely?

Yes. The HDview mobile app (iOS and Android) provides remote access to live viewing and recorded playback when the NVR is connected to a router with internet access. Remote viewing requires port forwarding or P2P cloud connection to be configured during installation.
