Description
This winged Cornish pixie figurine catches the little creature mid-mischief, crouched low on one knee with its clawed hands raised and a wide, toothy grin. Made from resin, also known as polystone, and finished all over in gold, it has a large upper pair of wings and a smaller lower pair, each marked with fine veins. It also has two stubby antennae, long pointed ears and narrowed eyes beneath a furrowed brow. The pixie kneels on a round base. Its front rim reads "The Cornish Pixie" in tall capital letters, and the top edge carries a printed line: "This mischievous beast delights in tricks and jokes. Mainly found in Cornwall, England." It stands 15cm tall, 19cm across and 12cm deep.
At 15cm tall it is a happy size for a bookshelf, a desk, a mantelpiece or a side table, where it holds its own without taking over. The gold finish takes on a warm glow under a lamp, so it sits comfortably beside old books, trailing plants or dark wood, and the crouching pose reads well from every side. Its cheeky expression makes it a natural talking point in a study, a reading corner or on a hallway shelf, and it is one to keep indoors.
Resin holds fine detail well, so the claws, toes and wing veins keep a crisp edge. The flat base lets the figurine stand freely on any level surface with no fixing needed. Dust it with a soft dry cloth, using a small soft brush around the wings and claws. A barely damp cloth lifts fingerprints, and harsh cleaners are best kept away from the gold finish. Lift it by the base rather than the wings. Give it a little space of its own on a shelf, or set it at the end of a row of books where that grin can peer out at the room.

Frequently Asked
How big is the Cornish pixie figurine?
It stands 15cm tall, 19cm across and 12cm deep, which makes it a good size for a bookshelf, a desk or a mantelpiece.
What is the figurine made of?
It is made from resin, also called polystone. The resin holds the fine detail of the wings, claws and face, and the whole piece is finished in gold.
What does the writing on the base say?
The front rim reads "The Cornish Pixie", and the top edge carries the line "This mischievous beast delights in tricks and jokes. Mainly found in Cornwall, England."
Does the figurine need fixing in place?
No. The round base is flat, so the figurine stands freely on any level shelf, desk or table with no fixings or wall space needed.
How should I clean the gold finish?
Dust it with a soft dry cloth, or use a small soft brush around the wings and claws. Keep harsh cleaners away from the gold finish.
