Description

This glass tube light-up decoration wraps the Lumos charm around a slim cylinder of clear glass printed in gold. On the front, a wand rises through a burst of gold rays and stars. LUMOS runs in tall capitals across its middle, and a line running up the side begins "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times". Turn it round and the back carries the Hogwarts crest, with the words School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and, near the foot, Wand-Lighting Charm. It stands 20cm tall and 9cm across, so it fits neatly on a narrow shelf or bedside table.

When it is lit, the gold rays around the wand catch the glow and the tube takes on a soft shimmer, which makes it a lovely piece for an evening corner. We like it on a bedroom shelf, a study desk or among the books in a living room, and it is made for dry rooms indoors. Because it is a light-up decoration rather than a reading lamp, it is there for atmosphere: a gentle point of light while you settle in with a favourite chapter.
