Description

This arched metal hanging decoration is made in the style of a classroom sign for Charms Class with Professor Flitwick, picked out in raised gold lettering on a deep red ground inside a gold rim. At its centre a hand holds a wand beneath a curving arrow that traces the lesson's famous movement, with small gold stars scattered around it, while two gold roundels sit either side, lettered Lumos and Nox. Across the lower half, “Swish and Flick” runs in large script, with Wingardium Leviosa and the spell written out syllable by syllable beneath it, just as a student might copy it from the board. It measures 18cm in height, 6.5cm across and 0.3cm deep, and hangs from a bright red ribbon printed with the Harry Potter name in gold.

Its natural home is the Christmas tree, where the warm red and gold sit happily among traditional festive colours and the raised gold lettering stands out against the branches.
