The Harlech is a 5-arm chandelier built from black-finished metal with scrolled ironwork and candle-style lamp holders, each taking a single E14 bulb (sold separately). Five curved arms radiate from a central column, terminating in drip trays and candle cups that hold the bulbs upright. The scrollwork below each arm and around the lower ring references wrought-iron gate details without replicating period metalwork literally.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights above 2.6m, the Harlech provides ambient light distributed across five points rather than a single central source. The 580mm diameter suits tables and floor areas of 1.8-2.4m width, with the chandelier typically hung 700-900mm above a dining surface. The drop is adjustable on installation between 580mm and 1510mm via chain length, allowing the fitting to be set for different ceiling heights.

The black metal finish presents as a low-sheen powder coat that minimises reflections and pairs with both warm-toned traditional interiors and cooler contemporary schemes. The scrollwork is hand-formed rather than stamped, giving each arm a slightly different curve profile. The minimum drop of 580mm plus the 520mm body height means the chandelier needs at least 2.6m ceiling height to hang without the lower ring sitting too close to a table surface. Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening or lengthening the chain. Once installed, changing the drop requires removing the chandelier from the ceiling rose to access the chain links.

How is the black finish maintained?

The powder-coated metal can be wiped with a dry microfibre cloth when the power is off and the bulbs have cooled. For more stubborn dust buildup in the scrollwork, a soft brush or barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid sprays or chemical cleaners that may affect the finish.
