Description

The Halstead is a five-light semi-flush ceiling fitting with gently arched arms in a warm brass finish, each carrying a clear glass shade edged with a smart metal trim. The clear shades show off decorative filament lamps while the metal edge gives each one a crisp, finished line. It measures 565mm across and projects just 495mm from the ceiling, so it sits close overhead. It takes five E14 lamps and is designed for low-energy LED filament lamps.

Because it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging on a long chain, the Halstead suits rooms with less height to spare, including living rooms, bedrooms and hallways. The five arched arms spread the light across the room, and the clear glass keeps it bright and open rather than shaded. It blends a classic arched form with clear, modern glass, so it works in both traditional and contemporary rooms without dominating them.

The metalwork is brushed aged brass plate and the shades are clear glass finished with a metal trim edge. As a semi-flush fitting with a 495mm projection, it is a good choice where a long pendant would hang too low. It is a Class 1 fitting, so it needs an earth and is best installed by a qualified electrician, and the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms away from bathrooms. It is dimmable with a compatible trailing edge dimmer and dimmable E14 filament lamps. Dust the glass and wipe the brass with a dry, soft cloth.
