Description

The Halion is a 200mm circular wall light with a white powder-coated metal base and a blown, acid-etched cased glass diffuser. The single GX53 bulb fitting sits behind the glass, spreading light evenly outward and downward to create ambient wash lighting on walls and adjacent surfaces. The IP20 rating restricts this fitting to dry indoor areas only.

Designed as flush-mount ambient lighting for hallways, bedrooms, living rooms and staircases, the Halion sits approximately 60mm proud of the wall when installed. The white finish allows it to recede into light-coloured walls, while the acid-etched glass softens the light source and minimises glare. The GX53 bulb format is a low-profile twin-pin fitting common in flush and semi-flush luminaires, available in LED versions from 7W to 11W with warm-white and neutral-white colour temperatures.

The glass diffuser is blown and then acid-etched on the inner surface, which roughens the glass enough to scatter light evenly without creating visible hotspots around the bulb. The white powder-coated metal base provides a clean junction with the wall and conceals the electrical connections. The fitting is dimmable when paired with a compatible GX53 LED bulb and a trailing-edge dimmer switch. The 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covers manufacturing defects in the metal base and glass diffuser.
