Description

The Hagen is a 60cm graphite bollard light built around a slimline 50mm diameter metal column with an integrated 5W LED module at the top. The LED casts warm 3000K light downward through a recessed aperture in the column head, creating a focused pool of light at ground level without spill above the fitting. The IP65 rating provides full protection against dust ingress and water jets from any direction.

Designed for pathways, driveways, garden borders and patio edges where directional ground-level illumination is needed without light pollution, the Hagen provides functional wayfinding lighting rather than ambient wash. The 60cm height positions the light source below typical eye level when standing, keeping glare out of sight lines while still delivering usable light onto the path surface. The slimline profile of the column minimises visual intrusion in daylight hours. Installation requires mains voltage AC 220-240V wiring and a suitable outdoor ground connection or concrete footing.

The graphite finish is a charcoal-grey powder coat applied to the metal body, providing corrosion resistance and a low-reflectivity surface that blends into dark-toned paving, slate borders and contemporary garden schemes. The finish handles UV exposure, temperature swings from -20°C to +40°C, and direct water contact without degrading. The integrated 5W LED runs at 3000K colour temperature, matching warm-white incandescent tones and avoiding the cooler blue cast of higher Kelvin LEDs. The fitting carries a 3-year warranty covering the LED driver and column construction.

Is the Hagen suitable for coastal locations?

The IP65 rating and powder-coated metal construction provide water and dust protection, but coastal salt exposure accelerates corrosion on most metal fittings. In direct coastal environments within 500m of the sea, regular rinsing with fresh water will extend the life of the graphite finish.

What spacing is recommended between bollards on a pathway?

For a typical 1.2m wide pathway, spacing the Hagen bollards 3-4m apart along one side or 5-6m apart in a staggered pattern along both sides provides continuous ground illumination without overlapping pools of light. Adjust spacing based on the path surface reflectivity and surrounding ambient light levels.

Can the LED module be replaced?

The 5W LED is integrated into the fitting. If the LED fails within the 3-year warranty period, Maytoni will replace the entire unit. After warranty, replacing the LED requires disassembly of the head and driver — contact Niori for a replacement quotation.

What installation depth is required?

The bollard requires a stable footing. For soft ground, dig a 300-400mm deep hole, set the base in concrete and allow 48 hours to cure before wiring. For paving or hard surfaces, use a surface-mount base plate with M8 fixings into concrete or a solid substrate.
