The Habana is a square floor lamp shade measuring 45cm x 45cm at the base with a 21.5cm height, constructed from black woven fabric stretched across a metal frame. The fabric is a tight-weave textile that softens light output while maintaining shape under bulb heat, and the square profile gives clean horizontal and vertical lines rather than the tapering common to conical shades.

Designed as a replacement shade for floor lamps or as an upgrade for existing tall lamp bases, the Habana fits standard floor lamp fittings and sits proportionally on bases with a height of 100-140cm. The 45cm footprint suits living rooms, bedrooms and reading corners where the lamp needs to provide ambient light across a 2-3m radius without the shade itself dominating the visual field. The matt black finish absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping focus on the glow cast downwards and through the fabric sides.

Can this be used on table lamps?

The 45cm footprint is designed for floor lamps. It would be oversized on most table lamps unless the table lamp base is exceptionally large (80cm+ tall). Smaller Habana shades are available in other sizes for table lamp use.

How is the shade cleaned?

Use a dry microfibre cloth or a soft brush attachment on a vacuum cleaner set to low suction to remove dust from the fabric surface. Avoid water or fabric cleaners, as they may stain the material or weaken the internal frame adhesive.
