Description

The Knightsbridge RD1B is a fixed GU10 recessed downlight with a brass die-cast aluminium bezel and a twist-lock fitting mechanism. The fitting is pre-wired with a GU10 lamp holder rated for 230V mains, accepting halogen or LED GU10 bulbs up to 50W. The 79mm diameter bezel sits 2mm proud of the ceiling surface once installed, with the lamp recessed 90mm into the ceiling void.

Designed for residential and commercial installation in living rooms, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms where task or accent lighting is needed, the downlight requires a 70mm cut-out diameter and a minimum 140mm void depth above the ceiling. The twist-lock mechanism allows the lamp holder assembly to be rotated into position and locked into the ceiling aperture without screws or additional fixings, simplifying installation and lamp replacement.

The brass finish provides a warm metallic accent that pairs well with traditional, classical and warm-toned interiors. The die-cast aluminium construction provides durability and heat dissipation for halogen lamps, though most current installations use LED GU10 bulbs for lower energy consumption and cooler running.
