Description

The Groenland S is a 1020mm ceiling fan light with three aerodynamic white blades, an integrated 54W tuneable LED and a DC motor driven by remote control. The LED offers adjustable colour temperature from 2700K warm white to 5000K daylight white, allowing the light to shift from evening relaxation tones to task-focused brightness without changing bulbs.

Designed for bedrooms, living rooms and home offices with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Groenland S mounts flush to the ceiling at 215mm total drop, making it suitable for rooms where traditional pendant fans would hang too low. The DC motor operates at variable speeds controlled via the included remote, providing airflow without the hum or vibration common in AC-motor fans. The fan can be reversed to push warm air down in winter or draw it up in summer.

The white finish on both blades and motor housing integrates cleanly into light-toned interiors, white ceilings and minimalist rooms where colour contrast is unwanted. At 3.85kg the fan requires secure fixing to a ceiling joist or rated fan hook, not just a plasterboard rose. The 2640lm output at full brightness is equivalent to approximately 200W of traditional incandescent light, giving sufficient ambient illumination for a 20-25m² room when combined with secondary task lighting.

Frequently Asked

How is the colour temperature changed?

The included remote control adjusts the LED colour temperature between 2700K warm white and 5000K daylight white. There is no separate wall switch for this function — all adjustments are made via the remote.

Can the fan be reversed for winter use?

Yes. The DC motor can be reversed via the remote control to change the blade rotation direction. In winter, reverse the fan to push warm air down from the ceiling. In summer, standard rotation draws warm air up and circulates cooler air at floor level.

What ceiling height is required?

The 215mm drop from ceiling to bottom of motor housing suits rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above. In lower-ceilinged rooms the blades may feel uncomfortably close to head height when standing near the fan.

How is the fan installed?

The 3.85kg weight requires fixing to a ceiling joist or a rated fan hook capable of supporting at least 20kg dynamic load. Standard plasterboard ceiling roses are not sufficient. Electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician and comply with Part P Building Regulations.
