Description

The Griffin is a 422mm semi-flush ceiling light from Quoizel, built with a polished chrome metal frame that holds a large etched white glass shade. Three E27 bulbs (sold separately) sit inside the shade, each capable of up to 60W. The etched glass diffuses the light across the surface, turning the entire shade into a broad light source rather than creating visible bulb hotspots.

Designed for rooms with ceiling heights between 2.2m and 2.6m, the Griffin sits 194mm below the ceiling once fitted, which keeps it clear of head height in hallways, landings, bedrooms and living spaces where a pendant drop would be too low. The semi-flush mounting means the fitting sits closer to the ceiling than a full pendant but projects enough to create a defined architectural feature. The white-painted interior of the glass shade reflects light back through the etched surface, adding to the overall brightness.

The polished chrome frame includes curved arms that cradle the glass shade and a central boss fitting that mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose. The reflective finish on the chrome picks up ambient light from the room and complements contemporary, modern and minimalist interiors where chrome, glass and neutral tones dominate.
