Description

This Knightsbridge grid switch cover is pre-marked 'WINE COOLER' and finished in brushed chrome, designed to clip onto standard grid rocker switches for appliance identification. The cover measures 33mm high by 16mm wide with a 6.8mm projection from the switch plate, fitting Knightsbridge's modular grid range of switches and control accessories.

Designed for kitchen installations where a wine cooler or similar appliance is controlled by a dedicated switched outlet, the marked cover allows the circuit to be identified at a glance without needing to open cupboards or check which outlet controls which appliance. The cover clips onto the existing rocker mechanism, replacing the blank or generic cover that comes with the switch module.

The brushed chrome finish is applied to an ABS plastic body with a steel insert, giving a durable surface that resists fingerprints and minor scratches. The pre-printed 'WINE COOLER' text is laser-etched into the chrome, ensuring it remains legible over the 25-year warranty period. The IP20 rating confirms the cover is suitable for dry indoor use.

The cover fits Knightsbridge's modular grid range of rocker switches. It clips onto the existing rocker mechanism, replacing the blank cover that comes with the switch module. It does not fit traditional screw-fixed plate switches.

Can the cover be removed and replaced?

Yes. The cover clips onto the rocker and can be removed by gently prising it off the switch mechanism. This allows you to change the designation if the appliance changes, or to swap the cover for a different finish.

Is the text permanent?

The 'WINE COOLER' text is laser-etched into the brushed chrome finish, making it resistant to wear from repeated use. Under normal conditions the text remains legible for the duration of the 25-year warranty period.
