Description

The Granette is an outdoor wall light with a motion sensor, built in stainless steel with a clear glass shade. A wide, hat-shaped cap shelters a clear glass cylinder, which sits inside a cage of slim upright rods. The whole lantern rises from a narrow round column, held out from a circular wall plate on two short arms. It measures 36cm high and 17.5cm long, and it projects 22.5cm from the wall. Inside, it takes one E27 bulb of up to 60W. The bulb is not included, so you choose the one you like. The IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so it can live outdoors on the wall of your house.

Its home is a front door, a back door, a porch or a garden wall, anywhere you want light to meet you as you arrive. The motion sensor switches the light on when it senses movement, so you are not fumbling for keys in the dark and you are not leaving a lamp burning all night. Corner mounting is possible, so it can also go on the corner of a building, which is handy where a path bends round the house. The stainless steel and clear glass suit brick, render and painted walls alike, and the lantern shape gives a traditional look without feeling fussy.

The cap and upright rods frame the clear glass neatly, and the body is stainless steel. Stainless steel resists rust, which matters for metal that faces the weather all year.
