Description

The Hinkley Graham is a 584mm diameter ceiling light that converts between pendant and semi-flush installation, built around four E14 candle bulbs (sold separately) set within a polished nickel frame and surrounded by an off-white faux parchment drum shade. The dual-mount fitting allows the light to be installed at a minimum drop of 359mm from the ceiling or extended to a maximum drop of 1218mm depending on ceiling height and room requirements.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls where ceiling height varies or where different mounting styles are needed across rooms in the same home, the Graham provides flexible installation without changing the fitting itself. The semi-flush configuration suits ceiling heights of 2.3-2.5m where a traditional pendant drop would hang too low, while the pendant configuration works in rooms with ceilings of 2.7m or above. The polished nickel frame and canopy reflect light outward while the faux parchment shade diffuses the four bulbs to give even ambient light across the room.

The off-white shade is constructed from a translucent faux parchment material that softens the direct light from the bulbs, reducing glare while maintaining brightness. The polished nickel frame provides a cooler metallic accent that pairs with both contemporary neutrals and warmer traditional interiors. Each E14 socket accepts bulbs up to 40W, giving a combined maximum output of 160W across the four bulbs when using halogen or filament sources, or the equivalent when using LED bulbs.

Can the Graham be installed as both a pendant and a semi-flush light?

Yes. The dual-mount fitting allows the light to be installed at a minimum drop of 359mm (semi-flush configuration) or extended to a maximum drop of 1218mm (pendant configuration). The installation method is chosen during fitting and can be changed by a qualified electrician if room requirements change.

What bulbs does it take?

The Graham takes four E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, each up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most installations pair this with 4-6W LED candle bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to achieve the right balance of brightness and ambiance.

What ceiling height is needed for pendant installation?

For pendant installation with the full 1218mm drop, ceiling heights of 2.7m or above are recommended to avoid the fitting hanging too low. In rooms with ceiling heights of 2.3-2.5m, the semi-flush configuration at 359mm drop provides better clearance.

Is the shade replaceable if damaged?

The faux parchment shade is a separate component that can be replaced. Contact Hinkley or Niori for spare shade availability if the shade becomes torn or discoloured over time.
