Description

The Gosmelle is a slim, square LED downlight that fits directly onto the ceiling surface. It has a brushed satin nickel frame around a white plastic diffuser. It measures 21cm long and 21cm wide and is only 2.8cm deep, so it keeps a low profile even on a lower ceiling. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 17W and giving 2,000 lumens of warm white light at 3000K, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It is rated IP20, which means it belongs indoors in dry rooms, away from bathrooms and outdoor walls.

Because it projects so little from the ceiling, it suits hallways, landings, bedrooms and home offices, anywhere a pendant would hang too low or feel too fussy. A single panel gives plenty of light for a smaller room, and a row of them along a corridor makes an even, uncluttered line. The warm white tone keeps living spaces relaxed in the evening. The satin nickel frame sits comfortably alongside chrome door handles, brushed steel switch plates and cool grey walls. If you want the brightness of a ceiling light without the bulk, we think this is a sensible choice.

The body is steel with a satin nickel finish, brushed so it shows a fine grain rather than a mirror shine. The white plastic diffuser softens the LEDs into a smooth, even glow.
