Description
The Gorbora is an outdoor wall light built as a slim cylinder in anthracite grey, throwing light both up and down the wall from a square bracket set behind it. It stands 20cm tall, 6.5cm wide and 9.5cm out from the wall, so it sits neatly beside a door without crowding a path. The body is zinc-plated steel, and the two LED lights take GU10 bulbs rated at 2.8W each, giving 250lm per light. Its IP44 rating means it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall.
Fit a pair either side of a front door and the beams wash the wall above and below each one, framing the entrance and lighting the step. It works just as well along a garden wall, beside a patio or on a garage, where the up and down light picks out the texture of brick, render or stone. Corner mounting is possible, which is handy where the best spot for a light is the very edge of a building. The anthracite finish is a neutral grey that sits comfortably against pale masonry and dark cladding alike, so it suits a modern home as readily as an older one.
There is no switch on the light itself: it is switched at the wall, from the switch on its circuit. It runs on mains power at 220-240V, 50/60Hz, and as a wired-in light it is installed by a qualified electrician. The zinc-plated steel body suits life outside, as zinc plating helps steel resist rust. It weighs 0.803KG packed, and the installation instructions come as a download, so your electrician can read them before the day of fitting.

Frequently Asked
Can the Gorbora go on an outside wall?
Yes. It is rated IP44, which means it is protected from splashing water, so it lives outdoors on a house wall or a garden wall.
Which way does the light shine?
It shines both up and down from the cylinder, washing the wall above and below the light from its two GU10 bulbs.
How bright is each light?
Each of its two lights is rated at 250lm and 2.8W, and both take GU10 bulbs, a common cap that makes replacements easy to find.
How big is the Gorbora wall light?
It is 20cm tall and 6.5cm wide, and it stands 9.5cm out from the wall, so it keeps a slim profile beside a door.
Can it be mounted on a corner?
Yes, corner mounting is possible, so it can go on the outside edge of a building where a flat stretch of wall is not available.
Does it have its own switch?
No, there is no switch on the light itself, so it is turned on and off from the wall switch on its circuit.
