Description

The Glintis is a 300mm LED bathroom mirror light with a cylindrical opal polycarbonate diffuser capped at both ends by anthracite powder-coated cast aluminium. An integrated 9.5W LED runs the length of the tube, delivering 3000K warm white light through the diffuser for even illumination across a mirror or vanity surface.

Designed for bathroom mirror lighting where IP44 splash protection is required, the Glintis mounts directly above or to the side of a mirror using a central rectangular backplate that sits flush to the wall. The 70mm projection from the wall positions the light source clear of the mirror glass, reducing glare and delivering the light where it's needed. The 300mm length suits single-basin bathroom mirrors between 600-900mm wide.

The anthracite finish provides a dark neutral tone that pairs with chrome taps, brushed nickel fixtures and contemporary bathroom tile schemes without competing for visual attention. The opal diffuser hides the LED strip from direct view and softens the light output, avoiding harsh shadows on faces during grooming tasks. The non-dimmable LED is rated for 30,000 hours at full output, equivalent to roughly 10 years at 8 hours daily use.

Is the Glintis suitable for bathroom zones?

The IP44 rating makes it suitable for bathroom zones 2 and 3, which covers most positions above a sink or adjacent to a mirror outside the immediate shower enclosure. It is not rated for use inside a shower cubicle or within 600mm of a bathtub rim (zone 1).

Can it be mounted vertically as well as horizontally?

Yes. The rectangular backplate allows the Glintis to be fixed horizontally above a mirror or vertically to either side. Vertical mounting suits taller narrow mirrors in cloakrooms or ensuite layouts where horizontal space is limited.

Is the LED replaceable?

The LED is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for 30,000 hours, which is approximately 10 years at typical bathroom use levels. At end-of-life the entire fitting would need replacing.

What colour is the light output?

The colour temperature is 3000K, which is warm white. This renders skin tones naturally and creates a comfortable grooming environment without the clinical feel of cooler daylight-temperature LEDs.
