Description
The Glim is a 2-light twin bar spotlight in black powder-coated metal, mounting two independently adjustable GU10 lamp heads on a 310mm horizontal bar. Each head rotates and tilts on its own ball joint, allowing light to be directed towards artwork, architectural details, shelving or worktop areas without moving the entire fitting. The GU10 bulbs sit behind faceted reflector housings that concentrate the beam into a directional spot rather than ambient wash.
Designed for ceiling and wall mounting in living rooms, kitchens, home offices and retail spaces, the Glim provides accent lighting where fixed downlights or pendants cannot be easily installed. The 120mm projection from the wall or ceiling keeps the lamp heads clear of the mounting surface, giving clearance for the full tilt range. The IP20 rating suits dry indoor environments. The fitting is compatible with dimmable GU10 LED bulbs when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, allowing light intensity to be adjusted for different tasks or times of day.
The black powder-coated finish on the bar and lamp housings gives a low-sheen surface that absorbs rather than reflects ambient light, keeping the fitting visually recessive when switched off. The 310mm bar length spaces the two lamp heads approximately 200mm apart centre-to-centre, giving enough separation to light different focal points without overlapping beams. The fitting weighs approximately 0.8kg and mounts via a standard ceiling rose or wall plate with two fixing screws. Ideal Lux provides a 5 year warranty.

Frequently Asked
Does it come with bulbs?
No. The Glim requires two GU10 bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with 4-6W LED GU10 bulbs in 3000K warm white for accent lighting, or 4000K neutral white for task lighting in kitchens and offices.
Can it be mounted on the ceiling and the wall?
Yes. The fitting can be mounted on either surface. On a ceiling it acts as directional downlighting. On a wall it provides uplighting, wall washing or focal accent lighting depending on how the lamp heads are angled.
Is the Glim dimmable?
The fitting itself is dimmable-compatible. To dim the light output you need dimmable GU10 LED bulbs and a compatible LED dimmer switch on the circuit. Not all GU10 LEDs dim smoothly, so check bulb specifications before purchasing.
How much can the lamp heads be adjusted?
Each head rotates approximately 350° horizontally and tilts roughly 90° vertically on a ball joint. This allows the light to be directed almost anywhere within a hemisphere in front of the mounting surface.
