Description

The Glacia is a 125mm diameter white metal ceiling rose designed to support up to six pendant lights using magnetic attachment points. Each pendant attaches to a magnetic connector that clips into the base plate, allowing individual lights to be removed and repositioned without re-wiring the entire installation. The white powder-coated finish matches standard white ceiling paint and blends into light-coloured ceilings.

Designed for multi-drop installations over kitchen islands, dining tables and open-plan living areas, the Glacia replaces the need for six separate ceiling roses or a custom electrical plate. The magnetic system means each pendant can be angled or adjusted during installation without unscrewing terminal blocks or disturbing the mains connection. Once installed, the rose sits flush against the ceiling with a central cable entry point concealed by the base plate.

The metal construction gives the rose structural rigidity to support the combined weight of six pendant lights without sagging or flexing. The 125mm diameter is compact enough to be visually unobtrusive when multiple pendants hang at different heights, and the white finish prevents the base from creating a dark spot on a white ceiling. The rose is rated for UK 230V mains and carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

Frequently Asked

How does the magnetic attachment work?

Each pendant light uses a magnetic connector that clips into one of the six attachment points on the ceiling rose. The connector holds the pendant in place magnetically and makes the electrical connection simultaneously, allowing individual lights to be removed and repositioned without tools or re-wiring.

What pendant lights are compatible?

The Glacia works with Ideal Lux pendants designed for magnetic ceiling roses, which include a matching magnetic connector. Check the pendant product specifications or contact us to confirm compatibility before ordering.

Can fewer than six lights be used?

Yes. The rose supports up to six lights but can operate with one, two, three, four or five pendants attached. Unused attachment points remain covered by the base plate and do not need to be capped or filled.

What ceiling height is needed?

The rose itself is 125mm in diameter and sits flush against the ceiling. Pendant drop length and room height depend on the specific pendants being used — most multi-drop installations work best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above to allow adequate headroom beneath the lowest pendant.
