Description

The Glacia is a 125mm magnetic ceiling rose finished in silver chrome, designed to support up to six pendant lights from a single ceiling point. Each pendant attaches magnetically to the rose base, allowing the configuration to be changed without re-wiring — pendants can be repositioned, added or removed by detaching them from the magnetic contact points on the rose.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas where multiple pendants are needed from a single ceiling position, the Glacia eliminates the need for six separate ceiling points or a custom multi-outlet junction box. The rose is surface-mounted to a standard UK ceiling rose connection, with the cable run concealed inside the 125mm diameter chrome canopy. Pendant drops are spaced evenly around the rose perimeter, creating a balanced multi-light cluster.

The magnetic attachment system uses low-voltage contacts embedded in the rose base, meaning each pendant connects both mechanically and electrically when placed on its designated position. This allows for tool-free reconfiguration — useful when changing seasonal pendants, adjusting cluster spacing, or temporarily reducing the number of active pendants. Can I use fewer than six pendants?

Yes. The rose supports up to six pendants but will function with any number from one to six. Unused contact points remain inactive when no pendant is attached, so you can start with three pendants and add more later, or reduce the number seasonally.

What pendants are compatible?

The Glacia works with Ideal Lux's Glacia pendant range, which includes various glass and metal shade styles designed with the matching magnetic connector base. Check product compatibility before purchasing separate pendants to ensure they use the same magnetic contact system.

What ceiling height is needed?

Multi-pendant clusters typically need ceiling heights of 2.4m or above to avoid the pendants hanging too low over a table or island. The individual pendant drop lengths determine the final working height, so measure the total drop (ceiling to lowest point of shade) before installation.
