Description

The Glacia-1 is a 90mm diameter magnetic ceiling rose in polished chrome, designed to mount a single pendant light with tool-free adjustment. The magnetic system allows the pendant cable to be repositioned across the face of the rose without removing the canopy from the ceiling, giving flexibility to recentre or offset the pendant drop as furniture or room layout changes.

Designed for kitchens, dining rooms and living spaces where pendant positioning matters, the Glacia-1 suits spaces with single pendant drops over tables, kitchen islands or reading corners. The magnetic plate holds the pendant cable firmly in position once adjusted, but can be moved again by simply pulling the cable and resetting it. The 90mm diameter sits comfortably on standard UK ceiling roses and the chrome finish pairs with both warm and cool-toned interiors.

The polished chrome surface is electroplated steel, giving a high-reflective mirror finish that works in modern, industrial and minimalist schemes. The rose accepts standard UK pendant cables with exposed conductors, and the magnetic plate conceals the ceiling connection behind the 90mm canopy. Installation hardware is included, and the fitting carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux Italy.

How does the magnetic system work?

The pendant cable sits on a magnetic plate on the face of the ceiling rose. To reposition the pendant, pull the cable to release it from the magnetic hold, move it to the new position, and the magnet will hold it there without tools or re-wiring.

Can it hold any pendant light?

The Glacia-1 is designed for single pendant lights with standard UK pendant cable. The magnetic system works best with pendants weighing under 2kg. Heavier pendants may require a fixed ceiling rose instead.

Is the chrome finish lacquered?

Polished chrome is an electroplated finish on the steel canopy. It resists tarnishing better than lacquered brass or unlacquered metals, and can be wiped clean with a damp microfibre cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the plating.
