The Gioia is a single pendant light built around an 8cm diameter smoked glass cylinder suspended from a polished chrome canopy on a black fabric cable. The cylindrical shade is cut from hand-blown glass with a grey-tinted smoke finish that softens light output while maintaining visibility of the E14 bulb inside. The chrome canopy sits flush to the ceiling and conceals the cable entry point, giving a clean mounting detail.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and dining tables in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Gioia provides both downward task light and a subtle upward wash through the open top of the cylinder. The adjustable drop ranges from 100cm to 178cm, allowing the pendant to be set 600-800mm above a worktop or 700-900mm above a dining table depending on the room proportions. The narrow 8cm footprint means multiple Gioia pendants can be hung in a row without visual crowding.

The smoked glass reduces glare from exposed filament or LED bulbs while still showing the lamp outline as a design feature when lit. The polished chrome finish on the canopy reflects ceiling light and pairs with stainless steel appliances, chrome tap fittings and metallic accents in contemporary kitchens.
