Description

The Ginvenne is a semi-flush ceiling light that pairs a black steel canopy with a wide cream shade wrapped in fabric cord. From the side the shade has a diamond profile. It widens to a broad rim and tapers again towards the base, where an opening lets light fall directly into the room. It measures 38cm in diameter and 17.5cm high, so it sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging low. It takes an E27 bulb, which is not included, so the brightness and warmth are yours to choose. With an IP20 rating it is made for dry indoor rooms, away from bathrooms and damp spaces.

That shallow height makes it a good choice for rooms with lower ceilings, such as bedrooms, hallways and landings, where a long pendant would feel cramped. The cream cord brings a relaxed, natural texture that sits well beside linen curtains, pale wood and woven throws, while the black canopy gives a crisp outline against a white ceiling. Because the strands are spaced with small gaps between them, light passes through the sides as well as the base, so the ceiling around it catches a soft glow rather than sitting in shadow.

The body is black steel and the shade is cream fabric cord, wound closely around its frame so the strands stay evenly spaced. There is no switch on the fitting itself; it is switched at the wall, so your existing light switch does the job. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and weighs 1.18KG. As a wired-in mains light it is installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions come as a download.
