Description

The Georgina is a 310mm flush crystal ceiling light built around a polished chrome circular frame holding four G9 bulb fittings, each surrounded by tiered rings of Asfour crystal prisms. Square-cut crystal pieces form the outer crown, with rectangular and circular crystal strands suspended below in three concentric layers, fastened to the chrome frame with small crystal buttons. A faceted crystal drop hangs from the centre. The configuration keeps the total height to 220mm, making it suitable for ceilings as low as 2.3m.

Designed for hallways, bedrooms, low-ceilinged sitting rooms and bathroom zones where a semi-flush or pendant would sit too low, the Georgina provides both ambient light and decorative presence without the drop length of a chandelier. The four G9 bulbs (sold separately, max 33W each) sit behind the crystal layers, so the light refracts through the prisms rather than shining directly downward. The fixture mounts directly to a standard UK ceiling rose with the chrome backplate flush to the ceiling surface.

Each Asfour crystal prism is precision-cut to refract light into spectrum patterns across the ceiling and walls when the fitting is switched on. The polished chrome finish reflects both daylight and artificial light, amplifying brightness in smaller or darker rooms. At 1.8kg the fitting is heavier than a plain glass flush mount, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or adequate toggle fixings in plasterboard. The dimmable rating allows brightness control when paired with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer switch.

What bulbs does the Georgina take?

The fitting takes four G9 capsule bulbs, each up to 33W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED G9 bulbs between 3-5W and 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting. Halogen G9 bulbs are also compatible but generate more heat.

Is it suitable for low ceilings?

Yes. The 220mm height makes the Georgina suitable for rooms with ceiling heights as low as 2.3m. The flush mount means no drop below the ceiling surface, unlike semi-flush or pendant crystal fittings.

Can it be dimmed?

Yes, when fitted with dimmable G9 LED bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. The fixture itself is dimmable-rated. Check that your chosen G9 bulbs are explicitly marked as dimmable before pairing with a dimmer.

How is the crystal cleaned?

Switch off and allow bulbs to cool completely. Wipe each crystal prism gently with a dry microfibre cloth. For heavier dust, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the chrome frame or electrical components. Do not use spray cleaners or polishes on the crystals.
