Description

The Gentry is a 354mm diameter lantern pendant with six E14 candle bulbs arranged inside a cylindrical frame of clear curved glass panels and polished brass metalwork. The glass panels are bent to form a continuous curved wall around the cluster of bulbs, with the brass frame providing structural support at top and bottom. White candle sleeves sit over the E14 fittings, with brass candle chasers at the base of each sleeve to mask the lampholder.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms and stairwells with ceiling heights of 2.4m or higher, the Gentry provides ambient and decorative light through 360° around the fitting. The 738mm minimum drop positions the pendant low enough to light a dining table or hallway surface, while the 3810mm maximum drop accommodates double-height spaces and vaulted ceilings. The drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the 3020mm chain, which conceals the cable run from the polished brass canopy to the lantern body.

The polished brass finish provides a mirror-like surface that reflects ambient light and gives the fitting a warm metallic presence against both light and dark ceilings. The clear glass allows full visibility of the candle arrangement when the pendant is lit, creating a traditional lantern effect without distortion or colour shift. The 637mm body height makes the Gentry visually substantial without overwhelming typical 3-4m entrance halls, and the six-bulb configuration provides 360W maximum output when fitted with 60W E14 bulbs (sold separately), though most users pair the fitting with 4-6W LED candle bulbs for ambient rather than task lighting.
