The Gentry is a 297mm diameter lantern pendant with four E14 candle fittings housed inside a cylindrical glass cage made from curved clear glass panels set into a polished nickel frame. The glass panels are bent and bevelled, creating prismatic reflections when the bulbs are lit, while the polished nickel vertical posts and top/bottom rings provide structural framing. White candle sleeves around each bulb holder echo traditional candelabra styling while keeping the focus on the bulb flames.

Designed for entrance halls, dining rooms, kitchen islands and stairwells with ceiling heights above 2.4m, the Gentry functions as both task and decorative lighting. The 1520mm chain allows the pendant to be set between 600mm minimum drop (for lower ceilings or above kitchen worktops) and 2169mm maximum drop (for double-height hallways or staircases). The four E14 candle bulbs provide 360-degree light distribution through the clear glass, with no downward diffuser — the glass cage itself becomes the shade.

The polished nickel finish reflects light and complements both cool-toned greys and warmer brass or gold accent fixtures in the same space. The 297mm diameter suits medium-sized rooms without dominating narrow hallways or small dining areas, and the 494mm fitting height (from ceiling rose to base of glass cage) keeps the vertical profile compact. What bulbs does the Gentry take?

The pendant takes four E14 small Edison screw candle bulbs, sold separately. Maximum 60W per bulb. Most users pair this with 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs at 2700K to mimic traditional flame light while keeping energy use low.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 600mm minimum drop suits standard 2.4m ceilings when hung above a dining table or kitchen island (typically positioned 700-800mm above the surface). For entrance halls or stairwells with higher ceilings, the chain extends to 2169mm maximum drop and can be shortened during installation to the exact height required.

Is the glass curved or flat?

The glass panels are curved and bevelled, creating a barrel-shaped lantern rather than a flat-sided box. This gives prismatic light refraction when the bulbs are lit and adds depth to the fixture when viewed from different angles.

Can it be fitted on a sloped ceiling?

The pendant hangs on a chain from a standard ceiling rose, so it will self-level on a sloped ceiling up to approximately 30 degrees. The chain hangs vertically regardless of ceiling angle, ensuring the lantern remains upright.
