Geneve Outdoor 1 Light Wall Lantern - Graphite

The Geneve is a 310mm outdoor wall light cast from die-cast aluminium in a graphite finish, with opal polycarbonate lenses fitted to both top and bottom apertures. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the central housing, casting light upwards and downwards through the polycarbonate diffusers. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashing from any direction, making the fitting suitable for exposed walls, covered porches, and garden installations.

Designed for installation on brick or rendered walls flanking front doors, garage entrances and patio areas, the Geneve's 95mm projection sits close to the wall plane without protruding into walkways. The bi-directional light pattern sends upward wash onto the wall surface or soffit above and downward illumination onto steps or pathways below, providing both functional visibility and architectural accent. The E27 socket accepts standard LED, halogen or filament bulbs up to 60W, giving control over light temperature and brightness to suit the installation.

The die-cast aluminium construction resists corrosion in coastal and high-moisture environments better than pressed steel alternatives, and the graphite powder-coat finish provides UV stability without the reflectivity of polished metals. The opal polycarbonate lenses diffuse the light source to prevent direct bulb glare while maintaining higher impact resistance than glass equivalents. Norlys back the Geneve with a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.

What does the IP54 rating mean for outdoor use?

IP54 indicates protection against dust accumulation (IP5X) and water splashing from any direction (IPX4). The Geneve can be installed on exposed walls, under eaves, or in covered porches where it may encounter rain splash and wind-driven moisture. It is not rated for direct water jets or submersion.

What bulb should I use?

The fitting takes a standard E27 Edison screw bulb up to 60W. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED bulb between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient exterior lighting. Bulbs are sold separately.

How is the light distributed?

Light projects both upwards and downwards through opal polycarbonate diffusers. The upward light washes the wall surface or soffit above the fitting, while the downward light illuminates steps, pathways or ground surfaces below, creating a bi-directional accent effect.

Can it be installed on coastal properties?

Yes. The die-cast aluminium construction and powder-coat graphite finish resist corrosion in coastal environments better than pressed steel or untreated metals. Regular rinsing with fresh water extends the finish life in high-salt locations.
