Description

This square wooden coaster carries the Gemini star sign in fine white line work on a warm orange gloss face. At its centre sit two faces in profile, eyes closed, back to back with their flowing hair meeting in the middle, framed by a scatter of small stars and dots. Above them the face reads "MAY 21 - JUNE 20" over the word "GEMINI", and below sit three words for the sign: "WITTY", "CURIOUS" and "ADAPTABLE". It measures 9.6cm one way and 9.5cm the other, with gently rounded corners, and it is just 0.4cm thick.

At that size it takes an everyday mug or a glass comfortably, so it earns its place beside the sofa, on a bedside table or on a desk where a drink always seems to land. The orange tone sits happily with warm woods, cream and terracotta, and the slim profile lets it lie flat without looking bulky. Anyone who enjoys reading their stars will appreciate the little nod to the sign each time they set a cup down. With the dates printed right on the face, there is no mistaking which sign it is.

The coaster is made of wood, with a smooth gloss finish over the printed face and a plain, speckled back underneath. To keep it looking its best, wipe the face with a damp cloth and dry it straight away. Avoid soaking it, as you would with any wooden piece. Wrapped on its own or tucked in with a card, it makes a small, thoughtful gift. We think it looks just as good kept on your own side table, ready for the first cup of the morning.
