Description

The Gedrez LED Downlight Set of 7 gives you seven round, recessed downlights in a black finish, each 9cm across with a transparent plastic shade over integrated LEDs. The body is black plastic, and the inner ring tilts, so you can angle each beam where you want it rather than only pointing straight at the floor. Each light draws 4.9W and gives 520lm. The set is rated IP20, which settles where it belongs: indoors, in dry rooms, and never near water.

Because they sit almost flush with the ceiling, these downlights suit living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and landings, where a clean, uncluttered ceiling matters as much as the light itself. Seven matching lights let you plan a whole ceiling at once, and the tilting heads mean you can wash a wall with light or pick out a picture or a shelf. The colour temperature is adjustable, with settings of 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow in the evening, 4000K for a crisper neutral white and 6500K for a cool daylight white in a study or home office.

Each downlight needs a 6.8cm cut-out and only 2.5cm of recess depth, which makes the set a good choice where the void behind the ceiling is shallow. Two sprung clips hold each light in the ceiling. The lights run on mains power at 220-240V and are switched at the wall. They are not dimmable, so pair them with an ordinary switch rather than a dimmer. The LEDs are integrated, so there is no separate bulb to buy. The energy class is F, and the whole set weighs 0.62KG packed. Like any wired-in mains light, they are installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download.
