Gedrez LED Downlight Set of 5 - Black

The Gedrez is a set of five round LED downlights in black, each with a plastic body and a clear plastic diffuser over integrated LEDs. Every light measures 9cm across and draws 4.9W, giving 520lm per light. The rating is IP20, which settles where they belong: indoors, in dry rooms, and never outdoors or anywhere near water. The black trim reads crisply against a pale ceiling, so the downlights look deliberate rather than an afterthought.

These suit living rooms, hallways, bedrooms and studies, wherever you want an even wash of light from the ceiling. Each light offers three colour temperatures: 2700K for a warm, relaxed glow in the evening, 4000K for a neutral white that works well at a desk, and 6500K for a crisp daylight tone. Because the colour temperature adjusts, you choose the mood room by room once they are fitted, rather than committing at the time of purchase. In a row, they also throw soft pools of light down a wall, which flatters a framed picture or a display on a sideboard.

Each downlight sits in a 6.8cm cut-out and needs only 2.5cm of recess depth, a sensible choice where the space above the ceiling is shallow. They run on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains, carry an F energy class and are installed by a qualified electrician; the installation instructions come as a download. There is no switch on the lights themselves: they are switched at the wall, and as they are not dimmable, an ordinary wall switch suits them rather than a dimmer. The packed weight is 0.462KG. Before you order, measure the ceiling void, because that 2.5cm recess depth is the figure that decides whether they fit.
